SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Macy Warren,
Catherine Walsh and
Susan Blick earned medals Saturday to highlight Colgate's participation at the Head of the Fish Regatta.
Warren rowed her single scull to a second-place result out of 13 competitors, with teammate
Dempsey Wartell finishing fifth. The Walsh and Blick tandem placed third out of 17 boats in the double scull to edge fourth-place teammates
Sarah Decelle and
Katharine Halle by 10 seconds.
Warren posted a singles time of 15 minutes, 59.98 seconds, while Wartell crossed in 17:00.03. In the doubles race, Walsh and Blick finished in 15:48.22 to Decelle and Halle's 15:58.71.
Other top finishers for the Raiders were Decelle and Halle with another fourth-place result out of 13 boats in the women's open light double scull division. The double crossed the line in 17:18.92.
A pair of Raider boats competed in the collegiate quad scull, finishing seventh and eighth out of nine boats. The seventh-place crew of

Lauren Siano posted a time of 16:14.13, just ahead of the boat powered by
Julia Taibl (coxswain),
Georgia Butcher,

Caroline Wardlow in 16.17:25.
In the women's varsity 4+, Colgate boats finished ninth and 25th out of 30 competitors. The ninth-place boat was guided by Tucker (coxswain), Warren, Wartell, Howe and Wardlow to a time of 15:29.73. The Colgate B boat of Taibl (coxswain), Hines, Lichter, Genty and Siano posted a finishing time of 17:21.77.
Colgate's varsity 8+ boat placed 11th out of 19 boats. The crew of Tucker (coxswain), Warren, Decelle, Blick, Wartell, Hines, Walsh, Halle and Wardlow finished in 14:14.38.
Colgate's women's novice 4+ placed fifth out of 12 boats in a time of 18:33.26. The crew was made up of Amanda Liberman (coxswain), Charlotte Gould, Sarah Walsh, Sydney Thompson and Emma Schoenberger.
And the Colgate novice 8+ registered a 13th-place showing out of 28 boats, guided by Liberman (coxswain), Butcher, Desnoes, Gould, Walsh, Halley Weinreb, Alyssa Devine, Thompson and Schoenberger to a time of 16:31.86.
Colgate's final fall competition is this weekend at the U.S. Rowing Small Boat Regatta in Mercer, N.J.
