2012-13 Roster
HAMILTON, N.Y. (6/20/12) – The Colgate women's hockey team has announced the addition of six student-athletes to the 2012-13 roster this fall.
The six players include one goalie, two forwards and three blue liners. Two of the players come from Canada while the other four represent four different states, including Massachusetts, Illinois, Washington and Texas.
Jenny Currie – Forward, Chelmsford, Mass. (New Hampton School/Middlesex Islanders)
Named a captain her junior and senior seasons, Jenny completed her high school career with a total of 103 career points with 31 her senior year. She was selected as her team's MVP and was the recipient of the 2011-12 Paul Family Award. Jenny was also named to the 2010 Lakes Region All-Scholastic Team.
Aimee DiBella – Defense, Nelson, B.C. (Penticton High School/Okanagan Hockey Academy)
Aimee played in 54 games her senior season, during which she tallied seven goals and 17 assists. She also played for the British Colombia Provincial Team, which participated in the National Championship and the Canada Winter Games.
Nicole Gass – Defense, Cookshire Eaton, Que. (Ontario Hockey Academy/John Abbott)
Nicole was named an assistant captain for the Midget AA Team in 2009 and was an assistant captain for John Abbott in the 2011-12 season. She was also an assistant captain for Team Quebec at the 2011 Canada Winter in which her team won the bronze medal. Nicole also won a bronze medal at the 2009 National Women's Under 18 Championship also with Team Quebec. She was named the Most Dedicated Female Athlete in 2011 by her high school.
Cacey Maciejewski – Defense, Yorkville, Ill. (Yorkville High School/Chicago Mission)
In her high school career, Cacey was a three-time State Champion in 2010, 2011 and 2012, and won the Regional Championship in 2012. Her team was the runner up in the 2012 National Championship. Cacey was also selected to participate in the for the USA player development camp from 2008-11.
Katelyn Parker – Forward, Bellingham, Wash. (Bellingham High School/Gilmour Academy)
Katelyn played in a total of 136 career games and had 58 career goals and 74 assists, with 24 games, 10 goals, and eight helpers in her senior season. The forward, who was the assistant captain for the Washington Wild from 2008-2010, has won numerous tournaments in her career, including the Mercyhurst Tournament, Ohio Flames Tournament, Connecticut Polar Bear Tournament, and the Winnipeg Subway Classic to name a few. Katelyn also participated in the USA District Camp for all four years and received the Player Maker Award and the Challenge Cup MVP honors.
Ashlynne Rando – Goaltender, Sugarland, Texas (Dulles High School/North American Hockey Academy)
Ashlynne, the only incoming goalie, completed her his school career with 146 career game and a .929 career save percentage, and set the NAHA school record for most shutouts in a single season with 26 in 2010. In her senior season she started in 49 of 85 games, had a 31-9-4 record, a 1.89 goals against average, a .911 save percentage and seven shutouts. Ashlynne has won several championships with her prep team, including the JWHL Under 19 Championships in 2011 and 2012, the Nike Bauer Championship in 2011, and the Can/Am Kitchener Championship in 2012 while also defeating the Czech National Team in 2012. She participated in the USA Hockey National Camp from 2008-2011 and the Rocky Mountain Camp from 2008-2011.
