THE SERIES WITH BUCKNELL
This will be the 98th meeting between Colgate and Bucknell with the Bison leading the all-time series 57-40. Bucknell won the first matchup this season 70-57 at Sojka Pavilion and has won the last five meetings. Colgate's last win over Bucknell came during the 2008-09 season 68-57 in Hamilton.

LAST TIME OUT
Charles Hinkle scored a game-high 23 points including a three-pointer with 33 seconds remaining to help lift American past the Colgate men's basketball team 59-58 Saturday afternoon at Cotterell Court.

After Hinkle gave the Eagles a 59-57 lead, senior Sterling Melville was fouled and split a pair of free throws with 13 seconds left. Melville then made up for his missed free throw by stealing the inbound pass to give the Raiders one more chance with eight seconds left. After a Colgate timeout junior Mitch Rolls missed a three point attempt with three ticks left, got his own rebound but couldn't get a second attempt off before the buzzer sounded to give American the one point win.

Senior guard Mike Venezia scored in double-figures for the third-straight game to lead Colgate with 13 points, including a three-pointer with a minute remaining to put the Raiders up 57-56. Classmate Nick Pascale and sophomore Pat Moore both scored nine points while Melville pitched in eight in the loss.

SCOUTING BUCKNELL (18-6, 8-0 PL)
After being honored prior to the game for scoring his 1,000th career point, senior Bryan Cohen added 19 more to his total and turned in another stellar defensive effort to lead Bucknell to a hard-fought 81-68 win over Army on Saturday night at Sojka Pavilion. Cohen went 8-for-10 from the floor and helped break open a close game in the second half with three critical drives to the basket, helping the Bison to their 10th straight win overall and their national-best 18th consecutive conference victory.

Now 18-6 on the season and 8-0 in the Patriot League, Bucknell maintained a two-game lead over American and Lehigh, both of which posted wins earlier in the day. The 10-game winning streak equals the longest under fourth-year head coach Dave Paulsen, and it is tied for the 11th-longest in program history.

This one was not as easy as the 13-point final margin would indicate, however. The Bison trailed by five points in the early going, and despite shooting a whopping 70 percent (17-24) in the first half, their halftime lead was just eight at 42-34.

VENEZIA HONING IN ON 1,000 POINTS
Colgate senior Mike Venezia is just 19 points (981) away from becoming the 29th Raider to join the 1,000-point club. Venezia has scored in double-figures in nine of the last 12 games and is averaging 11.7 points per game during that time.

500-500-100 CLUB
Colgate senior Nick Pascale is closing in on becoming just the fifth Raider in school history to score 500 or more points, grab 500 or more rebounds and block 100 or more shots in a career. Pascale currently has 570 points, 521 rebounds and 98 blocked shots.

ROLLS SHARING THE ROCK
Colgate junior guard Mitch Rolls recently entered the top-10 all-time at Colgate with 261 assists. Rolls has distributed 55 helpers this season and is averaging 2.5 per game, which ranks 12th in the Patriot League. Rolls currently ranks sixth all-time, just 11 helpers behind Josh Farrell '87 (272) for fifth. Hassan Brown '94 holds the school record with 484 assists.

1,000 POINTS AND COUNTING
Last season, senior forward Yaw Gyawu became the 28th player in school history to join the 1,000-point club. Gyawu currently has 1,187 points which ranks 19th, only five points from passing Rick Caputo '69 (1,191) for 18th overall.

VENEZIA KEEPS RAINING THREES
Colgate senior Mike Venezia has made a total of 185 three-pointers in his career which is tied for fourth all-time at Colgate with Jon Simon '07. Former teammate Kyle Roemer '10 holds the school record with 267.
