Being the daughter of a famous athlete can be a challenge, especially when your father won an Olympic gold medal as the goaltender on the “Miracle on Ice” U.S. Men's ice hockey team.

Although being Jim Craig's daughter could add to the pressure of playing in college, that didn't stop Colgate freshman Taylor Craig from pursuing her own ice hockey career.

Taylor Craig is halfway through her freshman season and enjoying life as a Division I player in a college town.

“It was kind of weird because, before I came, everyone knew Jim Craig's daughter was coming,” Taylor Craig said of her teammate's initial reaction. “In the beginning they would give me a hard time and I would sometimes get mad about it. You don't know if people like you for that and you always want to make your own name.”
