2011-12 Roster
HAMILTON, N.Y. (9/8/11) – Colgate men's head basketball coach
Matt Langel is pleased to welcome three newcomers to the 2011-12 roster. Joining the Raiders this year are
Matt McMullen,
Luke Roh and
Murphy Burnatowski.
“We're thrilled to add three quality young men to our Colgate Basketball family,” stated coach Langel. “All three guys come from outstanding families who have instilled in their sons strong personal values that will help them here in the Colgate community as well as on the basketball court. Having been well prepared with strong coaching at their previous schools, we expect them to do great things during their years here at Colgate.”
McMullen, a 6-6 forward from Brick, N.J., finished his career at Christian Brothers Academy averaging 14.9 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game. As a senior McMullen averaged 16.6 points, 9.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game and was named to the first team all-County and All-Shore Conference, along with third team All-State and was a McDonalds All-American nominee. McMullen was named team captain as both a junior and senior and was named to the first team all-County and All-Shore Conference as a junior.
Roh, a 6-4 guard from Scottsdale, Az., was named team captain as a senior at Chaparral High School and averaged 15.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game. Roh was named to the Scottsdale All-City First Team and second team All Desert Valley Region as a senior. He was also a member of the Kentucky King Bluegrass All-Tournament Team and nominated as a McDonalds All-American.
Burnatowski, a 6-7 forward from Waterloo, Ontario, has transferred to Colgate after spending the last two seasons at the University Maine. While with the Black Bears Burnatowski averaged 6.9 points and 3.0 rebounds per game and was named to the America East All-Rookie Team after the 2009-10 season. Burnatowski also played for the Canadian National Elite Development Academy before being chosen to play for the Canadian Junior National Team. Burnatowski recently spent the summer with the Canadian Senior National Team in preparation for the Championship of the Americas, which is being played in Argentina.
The Raiders will open their season at Binghamton on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m.
