Soccer Game Central
HAMILTON, N.Y. (9/22/11) – The Colgate women's soccer team will hit the road once again with St. Bonaventure on Friday, Sept. 23 before returning home for a matchup against Canisius on Sunday, Sept. 25 in Hamilton, N.Y.
The games are scheduled to take place at 3 p.m. and 1 p.m. respectively.
The Raiders (5-4) are coming off a 2-1 win over Dartmouth in its first double overtime game of the season on Tuesday evening. Junior

Maddie Malone scored the game-winner.
RAIDERS' OFFENSIVE SURGE
Colgate now has a total of 52 points from 18 goals and 16 assists, which is 14 more points than its opponents combined. The team leads the Patriot League in points, goals, goals per game (2.00), assists and assists per game (1.78).
POINT LEADERS
Freshman
Jenna Raepple and junior
Jillian Kinter lead the team with nine points and eight points respectively. Raepple, who is second in the league in points, goals and goals per game, has four goals and one assist, while Kinter has two goals and four assists. The junior leads the league in assists and assists per game. The dynamic duo are followed by senior-captain
Maddie Malone who has six points from one goal and a league-high four assists, and by rookie
Caroline Brawner who has a league-best two game-winning goals and an assist for five points.
SERIES
The Raiders lead the all-time series with St. Bonaventure, owning a 4-1 record since the teams first met in 1997. Colgate fell to the Bonnies, 1-0, at Colgate Nike Invitational last season. This will be the team's first road game against St. Bonaventure, having played the first five meetings at home.
This will be the eighth meeting between the two teams, with Colgate leading the all-time series 6-1. The Raiders' are undefeated against Canisius at home, owning a 4-0 record at Van Doren Field. The team's only set back to the Griffins was a 2-1 double overtime loss in 2010 on the road.
SCOUTING ST. BONAVENTURE
The Bonnies (5-3-1) are coming off a 2-0 win over Niagara and a 4-3 loss to Canisius last week. The team also has a tie with VMI, two losses to Kent. St. and Siena and wins over Bucknell, Binghamton, Buffalo and Sacred Heart.
St. Bonaventure is led by freshman Molly Curry, senior Tori Burchett and freshman Alicia Elwell. Curry leads the team with six points from two goals and two assists, while Burchett and Elwell have five points apiece from two goals and one assist each. In goal is sophomore Megan Junker who has four shutouts and a total of 33 saves for a .786 save percentage.
SCOUTING CANISIUS
The Griffins (4-3-1) are coming off a 1-0 double overtime loss to Buffalo and a 4-3 win over St. Bonaventure last weekend. Prior to that, they have had three wins over Delaware State, Youngstown State and Bucknell, two losses to St. Francis and Wright State, and a double-overtime tie with Quinnipiac. The team will first play Duquesne on Friday, Sept. 23 at home before facing the Raiders on Sunday.
Canisius is led by senior Kelly Reinwald and freshman Maria Nelms. Reinwald leads the team with 14 points from five goals and four assists, while Nelms has three goals and one assist for seven points. Defending the net is senior Caroline Robert who has started in all eight games, has two shut outs, and a total of 58 saves for a .784 save percentage.
PATRIOT LEAGUE PRESEASON POLL
The team was picked to finish second in the 2011 Patriot League Preseason Poll voted by head coaches and sports information directors in the league. The Raiders, who had 79 points and four first-place votes, were projected to finish behind Army, which had 93 points and 10 first-place votes. Following Colgate was Lehigh with 75 points and two first-place votes.
