Senior Spotlight is a new addition to the Colgate Athletics website. Each week, we will highlight the experience of a senior athlete from one of the various sports teams as they reflect on their athletic careers at Colgate and what being a Raider means to them. This is the first interview in the yearlong series.

Describe your athletic career in one word:
Unforgettable
What have you learned from playing soccer at Colgate?
"I have learned time management and the balancing act of being a student-athlete. As a student-athlete, you must be able to juggle challenging academics, Division I athletics, and having a social life. It is difficult to juggle all three of these areas of life as a freshman, but it gets easier with experience!"
What's the best part of being a student-athlete?
"My favorite part of being a student-athlete is traveling for away games and being able to proudly represent Colgate."
What are your goals for the rest of the season?
"My personal goal for this season is to simply play the best soccer that I can play each and every time I step onto the practice and game fields. As a team, our goals for the rest of the season include hosting and winning the Patriot League Tournament. This year, we are also setting a goal to reach the second round and beyond in the NCAA Tournament."
How has playing soccer impacted your four years here?
"The greatest impact that soccer has had on my Colgate experience is surrounding me with my teammates and best friends."
What's your favorite memory from playing soccer at Colgate?
"My favorite memory is winning the Patriot League Tournament two years ago on Van Doren. Nothing is better than winning on your home field with the support of family and friends in the crowd."
What advice would you give to incoming freshmen athletes?
"Take advantage of everything that Colgate has to offer. Explore Hamilton, join a club, get involved with the community, make friends, have fun, learn in the classroom, play every game like it's your last, and most importantly, go outside of your comfort zone."
What would you like the rest of the student body to know about being a student-athlete?
"I would like the student body to know that nothing gets student-athletes more excited for games than having fans cheering in the stands. So get involved with Raider Nation and let's hear some Rowdy Raiders!"
Finish this sentence: "After Colgate, ________"
"After Colgate, I am unsure what career path I will pursue. As a liberal arts institution, Colgate has opened my mind to a variety of subjects, ranging from biology to writing and rhetoric. Colgate has increased my interest in so many subjects that it is difficult to settle for just one career path!"
