LEWISBURG, Pa. (1/22/11) – Junior Yaw Gyawu scored a team-high 12 points, while sophomore Brandon James added 11 in the Raiders loss to Bucknell, 76-49, Saturday night at the Sojka Pavilion.

After a 4-4 tie, Bucknell went on a 17-4 run and never looked back as the Bison led by as much as 33 in the second half to remain perfect in Patriot League play and in sole possession of first place.

Colgate (3-16, 1-4) slowed the run by the Bison in the first half after a three-pointer by Mike Venezia trimmed the lead to 21-12 with 11:35 remaining. But Bucknell was able to end the half with a 26-14 run to take a 47-26 lead into the locker room.

Bucknell (14-7, 5-0) opened the second half with a 16-6 run to build a 63-32 lead with 10:33 remaining and continued to roll as it led 76-43 in the final three minutes. Colgate scored the final six points of the contest.

Bucknell was led by Mike Muscala who scored a game-high 17 points and grabbed six rebounds, while two other Bison scored in double-digits.

Colgate will continue league play when it travels to Holy Cross on Thursday, Jan. 27. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Hart Center and will be live on CBS College Sports Network.
