HAMILTON, N.Y. (3/13/2010) –
Matt Raley's second goal of the season with 1:07 remaining in the third lifted St. Lawrence by Colgate 4-3 in the second game of an ECAC Hockey quarterfinal, Saturday evening at Starr Rink.  With the win, the Saints advance to the league semifinals next weekend in Albany.

The Raiders pulled goalie Alex Evin (Castlegar, B.C.) with 55 seconds left, but couldn't muster a quality scoring chance with the extra attacker.  The Raiders concluded their season with a 15-15-6 overall record.

Jeremy Price (Milton, Ont.) staked Colgate to a 2-0 lead with a pair of power play goals to open scoring.  The freshman fired a blueline shot from center point in behind Kain Tisi.  David McIntyre (Pefferlaw, Ont.) and Wade Poplawski (Winnipeg, Man.) each posted assists on Price's fifth of the year.  The first period ended with the Raiders leading 1-0.

Early in the second, the freshman returned to the scoring column at 2:30 as he collected the puck off a rebound shot by McIntyre and tucked it in under the cross bar.  It was the second time this season Price scored a pair of power play goals.  He collected a pair of scores on December 20 at Canisius.  His sixth goal is the fourth highest total by a freshman defenseman in a single-season at Colgate.

After the Saints knotted the score at 2-2 on Nick Pitsikoulis' fourth of the year just 1:30 into the final period, Colgate regained the advantage at 10:56.  Kevin McNamara (Chestnut Hill, Mass.) sent the puck over to Thomas Larkin (Cocquio Trevisago, Italy).  The freshman fired a slap shot from the right point and on its way to the net, the puck was deflected home in front by Brian Day (Danvers, Mass.).  It was the junior's team-best 21st of the campaign.  With the assist, Larkin finished with 19 points in his inaugural season, which tied current Raider assistant coach Brad Dexter for second on the single season rookie point charts.

Less than four minutes later, the Saints knotted the game at 3-3 on Jacob Drewiske's sixth at 14:23.

Evin finished with 25 saves, while Tisi stopped 33 in the win.  Colgate outshot the Saints 36-29.

The Raider power play, which entered the game 0-18 versus St. Lawrence in three games this season, converted three of seven man advantage opportunities.  Colgate's penalty kill held the Saints to one of five with the man advantage.

With two assists, McIntyre surpassed current Clarkson Associate Head Coach Greg Dreschel for 24th on the Raiders' all-time scoring list with 131 points.  Fellow senior Jason Williams (Plattsburgh, N.Y.) ends his career with 153 career games played, which is third all-time in the program's history.
