HAMILTON, N.Y. (2/17/10)
– C.J. McCollum and Michael Ojo each scored 22 points as Lehigh rallied back from a 49-40 halftime deficit to defeat Colgate 91-81 on Wednesday night at Cotterell Court.

Senior guard Kyle Roemer (Martinez, Calif.) led Colgate with 21 points, while classmate forward Ben Jonson (Dallas, Texas) and sophomore forward Yaw Gyawu (Lilburn, Ga.) each scored 13. Freshman point guard Mitch Rolls (Coffeyville, Kan.) pitched in 10 points and seven assists, while classmate forward Brandon James (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) and junior guard Joe Hoban (West Chester, Pa.) each had eight points.

Colgate held a 49-40 halftime lead before Lehigh went on a 25-8 run to open the second half to take a 65-57 advantage. The Mountain Hawks would stretch their lead to nine points before the Raiders went on a 13-3 run to take a 71-70 lead capped by a Roemer layup. During that stretch the Raiders scored nine straight points leading to Roemer's shot.

However, Ojo hit a three-pointer on Lehigh's next possession to give the Mountain Hawks the lead for good. After a Colgate turnover, Zahir Carrington then put in a bucket to give Lehigh a four-point lead. The Raiders cut the deficit to three points in the late portion of the second half, after a Gyawu bucket with 2:21 left that brought Colgate within three, 80-77. Lehigh would respond with two straight buckets to take a seven-point lead, to seal the game.

The Raiders posted a strong first half, shooting 55 percent from the field. Led by Roemer's 10 points and another eight points from James. Colgate outscored Lehigh 14-7 in the last five minutes of the first half to take a nine-point halftime lead.

Lehigh (17-9, 8-3) out-rebounded Colgate 37-28 and grabbed 15 offensive boards. Carrington in particular did a good job on the glass, accruing 12 points to go along with 14 rebounds. Seven of Carrington's rebounds were on the offensive end. The Mountain Hawks also shot 65 percent in the second half.

The Raiders dished 19 assists on the night and shot 53 percent from the field.

Colgate (8-17, 4-7) will travel to Bucknell on Sunday (Feb. 21). The game is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. EST. and will be aired live on Patriot League All-Access.
