Basketball Game Central
HAMILTON, N.Y. (12/08/10) - The Colgate women's basketball team will hit the road once again this weekend when it travels to Smithfield, R.I. for a matchup against Bryant on Saturday, Dec. 11 at 2 p.m. This will be the Raiders' seventh road game of the season.
Colgate (5-5) is coming off a 3-0 week. The team handed Cornell 65-52 loss on Wednesday (Dec. 1) before going on to defeat Loyola-Chicago 57-55 and St. Francis 69-51 over the weekend.
WHO'S HOT?
Senior
Tayler Wejnert (Ramsey, N.J.) had a great week, totaling 45 points and 19 rebounds in the three games. She is currently second on the team and fourth in the league with an average of 13.0 points per game and is third in the league with a .840 free throw percentage.
COURT LEADERS
Sophomore
Jhazmine Lynch (San Diego, Calif.) leads the team in scoring, averaging 14.3 points per game, which also has her ranked at second in the league. Freshman
Lauryn Kobiela (Charlotte, N.C.) has a team-best 2.8 assists per game while senior
Krista Moser (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) is cleaning up the glass with 8.0 rebounds per game.
SENIOR LEADERSHIP
The seniors have played a key role in the team's success this season. As a class, they have contributed 307 of the team's 647 points and 186 of its 415 rebounds.
1,000-POINT CLUB
Senior
Sami Kozlowski (New Market, Md.), who has started every game in her collegiate career, is now just 83 points short of reaching the 1,000 career-point mark. Ending the 2009-10 season as the Raiders' leading scorer, she has already accumulated 79 points this season.
SERIES
Bryant leads the all-time series with Colgate, winning all three games to own a 3-0 record against the Raiders. The teams first met during the 2008-09 season when the Bulldogs first defeated Colgate 71-59 at the Fordham Tournament before securing a second 63-53 win later in the season. Bryant also won the most recent meeting last season 82-74 on Cotterell Court.
SCOUTING BRYANT
The Bulldogs (1-6) are coming off a 79-74 win over Air Force and a 51-49 loss to Weber State at the Air Force Classic last weekend. Prior to the tournament, the team also suffered setbacks to Dartmouth, Brown, Maine, Lafayette and Pennsylvania. The team will play Northeast Conference foe, Fairleigh Dickinson, on Thursday (Dec. 9) before hosting the Raiders on Saturday.
Senior forward Siamone Bennett along with sophomores Meredith Soper and Danielle Douglas lead Bryant. Bennett leads the team in scoring and in rebounds with 11.3 points and 8.1 rebounds per game, while Soper and Douglas round out the top-three scorers with 11.1 and 10.7 points per game respectively.

Pamela Bass has made a deal with her team that is bound to have her in the best shape of her life. For every charge her team takes during a game, she will do one push-up on the court immediately after the foul is called.
