ORONO, Maine (12/19/10) – Freshman Pat Moore (Utica, N.Y.) recorded his second double digit outing of the season with 13 points while three other Raiders scored eight apiece but it wasn't enough as Colgate fell to Maine 78-57 Sunday afternoon at Alfond Arena.

Maine (5-5) opened the game with 17-4 run over the first seven minutes of action and never looked back as it built a 40-21 lead at halftime.

Colgate (0-9) made a 9-0 run early in the second half to trim the Black Bears lead to 52-42, but that was as close as the score would get as Maine closed the game with a 26-15 run.

Moore scored 10 of his 13 points in the second half to lead Colgate while juniors Yaw Gyawu (Lilburn, Ga.) and Nick Pascale (DeWitt, N.Y.) along with sophomore Brandon James (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) pitched in eight points apiece. Maine had five players score in double digits led by Gerald McLemore with a game-high 15 points, while Terrance Mitchell scored 14.

Colgate will host Albany on Wednesday, Dec. 22. The game is slated to begin at 7:00 p.m. at Cotterell Court and can be seen live on Colgate All-Access.
