Raiders Travel to Wagner on Tuesday

HAMILTON, N.Y. (11/21/10) – The Colgate women's basketball will hit the road once again when it travels to Staten Island, N.Y. for a matchup against Wagner on Tuesday, Nov. 23 at 7 p.m. This will be the third road game for the Raiders who have an 0-2 away record this season.

Colgate (1-3) is coming off a 70-65 loss to Canisus on Saturday (Nov. 20). Despite a late comeback in the final minutes of the game, the Raiders could not secure the win, suffering their third setback of the season. Senior Krista Moser (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) led the team with a game-high 15 points and a team-high six rebounds while sophomore Jhazmine Lynch (San Diego, Calif.) contributed 13 points and four assists for the Raiders.

COURT LEADERS
Lynch continues to lead the team, averaging 14.3 points, two assists and three rebounds per game. She is followed by junior Tricia Oakes (Evergreen, Colo.) who has an average of 10 points and five rebounds per game, and by senior Taylor Wejnert (Ramsey, N.J.) who has an 8.8 point average and is a perfect 5-of-5 from the line. Moser leads the team in rebounds with a total of 32 for an average of eight per game and has a team-high 4 blocks.

RAIDERS' TEAM STATS
Colgate has been more productive in the first than in the second, averaging 9.5 more points per game in the first half and accumulating more first-half points in four games than their opponents' combined. As a team, the Raiders are averaging 63.2 points per game, which is equal to their competitors, but have a slight advantage in rebounds with a 38.8 average. Colgate has shot 19-of-66 from beyond the arch, is .772 from the charity stripe and has a .379 field goal percentage.

SERIES
The Raiders lead the all-time series with Wagner, owning an 8-4 record. The teams last met in the 2009-10 season when Colgate defeated the Seahawks 72-59 on Cotterell Court. Wagner has a 4-2 record at home with Colgate's only two road-wins coming in 2003 and 2004.

SCOUTING WAGNER
The Seahawks (2-0) are coming off a 64-61 win over Siena on Saturday after also defeating Army 52-48 in overtime on Nov. 12. The team, which was selected to finish 10th in the Northeast Conference preseason poll, will look to extend its winning streak with a win against Colgate.

Wagner is led by senior Megan Mahoney and sophomore Marie-Laurence Archambault. Mahoney is the team's point leader, averaging 14 points and 5.5 rebounds per game while Archambault is second with an average of 10 points. Senior Nyoto Patterson leads the Seahawks in rebounds, averaging eight per game.
