GUYETT AND PILKA SWEEP WEEKLY AWARDS

Senior captain Caren Guyett (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) was named Patriot League Female Swimmer of the Week, while sophomore Kim Pilka (Great Falls, Va.) earned her third PL Diver of the Week on Monday. Guyett helped Colgate to its first conference win of the season over Bucknell with first-place finishes in two individual events and a win in the 400-yard medley relay. Pilka won her third diver of the week honor and second in as many weeks. She once again swept the diving portion of the meet against Bucknell. She has swept both events in three-of-four meets this year.

COLGATE SINKS BISON

The Colgate women's swimming and diving team opened the Patriot League season with a dismantling of Bucknell by a 156-87 margin on Saturday afternoon. Guyett and Erin McGraw (Penfield, N.Y.) led the way with a pair of individual wins and a victory in the 400-yard medley relay. Pilka continued to dominate opponents on the board and the Bison felt it today. She won the 1-meter dive with 244.65 points and the closest finisher was at 207.23 points. Pilka then went out and did the same in the 3-meter dive with a score of 272.70 and the second-place finisher ended up with 239.63.
