HAMILTON, N.Y. (10/28/10)
– The women's soccer team will travel to Lewisburg, Pa. this weekend for its final regular season game. The Raiders (6-10-1, 3-2-1) will face Bucknell in a critical final game that will determine whether or not they secure a spot in the 2010 Patriot League tournament as the defending champions. The game is scheduled to take place on Saturday, Oct. 30 at 4 p.m.

Colgate is coming off two league games last weekend with a 2-0 win against Holy Cross on Friday and a 0-0 double-overtime tie with Army on Sunday, which was the team's senior day. Senior defender Calista Victor (Seattle, Wash.) and sophomore forward Jillian Kinter (Newburyport, Mass.) scored a goal each for the Raiders on Friday.

STATISTIC LEADERS

The team continues to have multiple players contributing to scoring with eight players having scored at least one goal this season and ten players having accumulated at least one point. Kinter and Alyssa Manoogian (Peabody, Mass.) lead the way with 13 points each. Kinter has six goals and one assist while Manoogian has four goals and five assists. The two are followed by senior forward Anna Baldwin (Woodbury, Conn.) and junior midfielder Maddie Malone (Glen Ridge, N.J.) who are tied at third with six points each.

WEEKLY AWARD WINNERS

Victor and sophomore goalkeeper Alexis Longwell (McLean, Va.) were named the BRINE Defensive Player of the Week and the BRINE Goalkeeper of the Week by the Patriot League earlier this week.

Victor scored the game-winning goal against Holy Cross on Friday before making an incredible sliding defensive save moments later in the team's 2-0 win. She also anchored Colgate's defense in the tie against Army. Longwell had a 2-0 weekend, securing her first shutout of the season against Holy Cross in which she made four saves before making five saves against the Black Knights just two days later. She did not allow a goal last weekend.

SCOUTING BUCKNELL

The Bison (6-12) are currently tied at first with Army in the league standings with 12 points off a 4-2 conference record. The team secured a spot in the Patriot League Tournament with its 3-2 win over Holy Cross on Sunday despite having lost to Army 2-1 on Friday.

Bucknell is led by seniors Christa Matlack, Caitlin Holtz and Kelliann Doherty. Matlack leads the team in points with 15 off six goals and three assists while Holtz has 11 points off four goals and three assists. Doherty, who earned the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week honors this week, is third on the team with nine points off three goals and three assists.

TOURNAMENT STANDINGS

Bucknell along with Army and Lehigh currently hold the top three spots in the league standings, having all clinched a Patriot League tournament berth. The final spot is between Navy and Colgate with this weekend's results being the determining factor.

Colgate will play Bucknell on Saturday while Navy faces American on Friday. A win against Bucknell would give Colgate the fourth spot however if the team draws or loses, its fate will be determined by the outcome of the Navy game on Friday.
