Raiders Make First Patriot League Road Trip to No. 13/15 Navy on Saturday

, N.Y. (3/19/09)—The Colgate University men's lacrosse team travels on Saturday, March 21 to face-off against No. 13/15 Navy in Patriot League action. The game is set for 12 p.m. at Navy-Marine Corps Stadium in Annapolis, Md.

The Raiders and Midshipmen are facing off for the 11th time with Navy owning an 8-2 advantage. The Raiders split two contests last season, winning the second meeting in the Patriot League Tournament, 12-9, at West Point, N.Y.
 
The Raiders are coming off their first road win of the season topping Fairfield (13-12). The Raider offense is led by senior attacker Brandon Corp (Chittenango, N.Y.). Corp has a team-high 28 points off 16 goals and 12 assists and is second in the nation averaging 4.67 points per game. Classmate Kevin Colleluori (Bethpage, N.Y.) is right behind him with 23 points off a team-high 17 goals and six assists for 4.60 points per game, third in the nation. Senior Nick Monastero (Bohemia, N.Y.) has 17 points followed by junior Ian Murphy (Constantia, N.Y.) with 11.
     
Sophomore face-off specialist Jim Carroll (Nesconset, N.Y.) is 64-of-121 in restarts for a .529 success rate. He also leads the team with 29 groundballs. Between the pipes junior Tim Harrington (Lutherville, Md.) is 3-3 on the season and sports a 10.54 goals against average and .500 save percentage. He is averaging 10.36 saves per game.
 
The Midshipmen enter this weekend 6-2 after a 10-5 win over Holy Cross, for their fourth straight win after a 2-2 start. Junior Tim Paul leads the team with 21 points off 13 goals and eight assists, while junior Brendan Connors is second with 16 points. Frankie Coppola leads in face-offs and groundballs, while RJ Wickham leads the way between the pipes 4-1 with a .543 save percentage.
