Biography

Sophomore Year (2013-14): Outdoor Track: Competed in five of the Raiders six meets...Moved into fifth place all-time with a time of 10:30.60 in the 3000 meters at the Lafayette Invite...Also recorded a time of 17:32.98 at the Princeton Invite in the 5000 meters, which places her fifth all-time in program history...Registered a season-best 4:46.82 in the 1,500 meters at the Army Invite as well. Indoor Track: Ran in four of the eight meets due to battling an injury from cross country season...Notched a lifetime-best at the Giegengack Invite in the 5000 meters when she crossed the finish line in 17:43.15, which places her sixth all-time...Also registered a season-best in the 1000 meters and the mile with a time of 3:09.39 and 5:15.20, respectively, at the Kane Invite...Named to the Raider Academic Honor Roll.

Freshman Year (2012-13): Outdoor Track: In her first ever outdoor race she broke Colgate previous record of 11:45.60 in the 3,000 meter steeplechase when she placed second at the Lafayette Invitational with a time of 11:29.69...Ran the 5,000m in a time of 17:36.64 at the UConn Invite, which earned her a season-best...Also competed at the Patriot League Outdoor Championships finishing the 5,000 meters in a time of 18:18.84 for seven-place. Indoor Track: Competed in six of the of Raiders seven meets this season...Had a lifetime best in the 3,000m at the Giegengack Invite on Feb. 2, when she finished in a time of 9:59.95, placing her third all-time in Colgate history...Also notched a season-best at the Kane Invite, where she finished the mile win a time of 5:06.50...Was a member of the distance medley team that crossed the finish line in a time of 11:52.45 at the ECAC Championships, which places them third in Colgate history.

Before Colgate: Olivia was a letterwinner in cross country and indoor and outdoor track at Weston High School, and captained all three teams her senior year. As captain, Olivia led her team to Second Place in the Massachusetts State Championships. Olivia was a Dual-County League All-Star in XC, indoor, and outdoor track, and received Boston Globe All-Scholastic and Boston Herald All-Scholastic honors for her 2011 cross-country season. In addition she won the Joseph Naughton Award and Scholarship, Weston's Outstanding Runner in multiple seasons, and holds her high school's records in the indoor 1 mile, and outdoor 2 mile. She was also a member of Weston's National Honor Society, Amnesty International, and the lacrosse team.

Personal: Olivia was born in Boston, Mass. to Russell Brackett and Cristy Ballou Brackett...She has three brothers and her major is economics.
