Liz Hogan

Liz Hogan begins her second season with the Raiders as an assistant coach. She will be working primarily with the goalkeepers and will help out with the defense.

Hogan comes to Colgate after a stellar career with the Orange, where she went 52-23 in goal. She was a four-year starter for Gary Gait and was named BIG EAST Defender of the Year, was a first team Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association All-American in 2010 and was selected to the BIG EAST All-Tournament Team. She was named Goalkeeper of the Year by the IWLCA and Womenslax.com following that season as well.

A two-time team captain with the Orange, Hogan helped Syracuse win three BIG EAST Regular Season titles (2008, 2009, 2010), two NCAA Final Four Appearances (2008, 2010) and one BIG EAST tournament championship in 2008.

As a three-time first team IWLCA All-Northeast Region selection, Hogan holds two all-time records at Syracuse with 660 career saves and 181 ground balls. She also holds the single-season record for ground balls (64) and saves (211). She is the all-time leader in BIG EAST history in career saves with 237 and had the best save percentage season in conference history with a mark of .616.

In addition to her collegiate career, Hogan was the head goalkeeping coach for the Relentless Hustle Lacrosse Club in Rochester, N.Y., beginning in 2008. She tutored all goalkeepers from elementary school all the way to high school, teaching them the basic lacrosse and goalkeeping skills. She served as a mentor and role model to those who were furthering their careers at the collegiate level.

In the summer of 2010, she finished an internship with STAR Physical Therapy in Perinton, N.Y., where she participated in patient recoveries from surgeries and injuries. She also observed individual fitness sessions for high school athletes that were moving on to the collegiate level.

Hogan was a three-time member of the BIG EAST All-Academic Team and four-year member of the Dean's List at Syracuse. She graduated with a degree in health and exercise science and minored in physical education and psychology. Hogan was a recipient of the 2010-11 BIG EAST Scholar-Athlete Sport Excellence Award and was a 2011 Capital One Academic All-District Second Team selection.
