Katie Rhodes returns for her fifth season as assistant coach for the Colgate women's lacrosse program after being hired for the 2013-14 school year.
Rhodes has helped coach Haley O'Hanlon to three All-Patriot League selections along with her Rookie of the Year Selection in 2015.
During her first four seasons with the Raiders, Rhodes has helped the team to 31 wins and three Patriot League Tournament appearances.
The Raiders qualified for a third straight Patriot League tournament after finishing with a 6-3 mark in league play, tying their 2015 mark with six wins for the most in the past five seasons. Haley O'Hanlon was named All-League first Team and IWLCA All-Region under Rhodes' guidance.
During her time in Hamilton, Rhodes has been instrumental in the growth of the Raiders program. The 2015 campaign saw Colgate post double-digit wins for the first time since the 2009 campaign with a 10-6 overall mark. The Raiders also posted their best Patriot League mark in four seasons with a 6-2 League record.

Freshman sensation Haley O’Hanlon was named Patriot League Rookie-of-the-Year as she ranked among the top 10 players in the League in goals, assists and points. O’Hanlon and senior Jenna Frost were both IWLCA All-Region selections, giving the Raiders two all-region picks in the same campaign for the first time since 2011.

A total of five players have earned eight All-League honors during Rhodes’ two seasons with the Raiders, highlighted by six First-Team All-Patriot League accolades.

Rhodes made her way to Colgate after two years at the University of Detroit Mercy as an assistant coach. She worked directly with goalies and her primary responsibilities were recruiting, scouting reports and film exchange.
"Katie has a passion for the game that is infectious and she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the program," Colgate Head Coach Heather Young said. "I am excited to have her on our staff to help our student-athletes achieve their goals."
She coached Detroit's goalie to Atlantic Sun Defensive Player of the Year honors and the goalie was second in the nation in saves and sixth in the saves per game in 2012. The Titans made their first conference championship that year with a record of 3-1. She tutored five first team selections and three second team members, along with freshmen making the all-rookie team.
In her first season, Rhodes helped the Titan improve dramatically from a 3-15 record to an 8-9 mark in 2012, which was a program record for wins in a season. She coached two first team selections and the ream reached the semifinals of the conference tournament.
Prior to her coaching career, Rhodes was a NJCAA All-Region and All-Conference for Cayuga Community College in Auburn, N.Y., where she also coached the junior varsity squad at Auburn High School in 2011. She then moved on to St. Andrews Presbyterian College. She was a second team All-Conference Carolinas selection in 2009.
Following her graduation in 2009 with a degree in interdisciplinary studies, she joined the coaching staff as an assistant. She developed out of season conditioning programs and helped with practice plans and scouting reports. The team had a 3-4 conference mark and a 5-8 overall record. Rhodes coached two Conference Carolinas second team selections.
She has also worked multiple camps during her coaching career, including All-American Lacrosse Clinics, Texas Outlaws Lacrosse Camp and Grand Valley State Lacrosse Camp. She spent this summer at the Michigan Cyclones and the University of Michigan lacrosse camps.
