Bryan Klobucar was named Colgate’s Director of Strength and Conditioning in July 2021.
Klobucar oversees the strength and conditioning programs for Colgate’s 25 varsity sports. He comes to Colgate after a three-year stint at Oregon State, where he primarily worked with football as the associate strength and conditioning coach since 2018. He directly oversaw the strength and conditioning program for Beaver Football while tracking data and communicating results with the coaching staff.
Prior to his experience at Oregon State, Klobucar served as the assistant strength and conditioning coach at Arizona from 2015-2018. During his time in Tucson, he assisted with the design and implementation of strength and conditioning for football and supervised the training program for track and field throwers. He also worked with softball and baseball during his three years at Arizona.
Klobucar got his start in the profession as a volunteer assistant/strength and conditioning coach at his alma mater, Saginaw Valley State. He has also held collegiate positions at Black Hills State, Boise State, and Gardner-Webb.
The Hudsonville, Mich., native played football at Saginaw Valley State, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science in 2011. He completed his master’s degree from Gardner-Webb in sports science and pedagogy in 2013.
Klobucar and his wife, Meghan, have a son, Brooks, who was born in April 2021.
