Theresa Alessio walked-on and was a four-year member of Syracuse University's rowing team from 2004-08. While with the Orange, Alessio helped the team win the Orange Challenge Cup from the second varsity four boat. After a successful 2006-07 season, Alessio moved up to the varsity four boat and notched a third-place finish in the BIG EAST Championship.
A native of Syracuse, Alessio has experience working at the collegiate level for Mariettea College and Cornell University. While at Cornell, Alessio led the fours group to their highest winning record of the season within the team.
Alessio recently completed her Master of Science in Exercise Science from SUNY Cortland. She is also a proud alumna of Syracuse where Alessio graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts  in Film Art.
