Breanna Bachini was hired as an assistant men's and women's tennis coach at Colgate in July of 2015.
Bachini helped coach three student-athletes to All-Patriot League honors in the 2017-18 season. On the men’s side Jacob Daugherty was tabbed to the first team and Scott Bickel was named to the second. Mackenzie Deeter was named a second team performer on the women’s side. With the help of Bacini, the men’s team won 15 games, which is the most since 1998, and advanced to conference semifinals, while the women picked up their first postseason win in five years.
In each of her first two seasons, Bachini assisted in coaching All-Patriot League selections Lauren Hyland and Jacob Daugherty. Bachini also helped coach both the men's and women's teams to winning regular season records in her second season in 2016-17.
Bachini was a four-year member of the Syracuse Orange women's tennis team where she competed primarily at No. 4 singles. She helped Syracuse to wins over ranked opponents No. 35 Princeton, No. 39 USF, No. 60 Harvard and No. 69 DePaul. During her senior season, Bachini and the Orange were ranked as high as No. 35 nationally, the highest national ranking in program history.
Individually, Bachini earned wins over ranked opponents from from No. 7 Virginia, No. 25 Princeton, No. 39 USF, No. 60 Harvard and No. 69 DePaul. Bachini upset the No. 3 seed Amanda Muliawan of Princeton in the ITA Regionals during her career and won Flight B at the West Point Invitational as a senior in 2014-15.
Off the court, Bachini was recognized by the National Consortium for Academics and Sports in 2013 for achieving excellence in academics and athletics while making significant contributions to the community. Bachini was a 2013-14 ACC Academic Honor Roll Selection and a 2011-2012 Big East All-Academic Team Selection.

Prior to her Syracuse career, Bachini was a five-star recruit and was ranked in the Top 40 in the country by TennisRecruiting.net as well as No. 8 in California. Bachini was ranked No. 1 in each age division in Northern California. In addition to her rankings, Bachini played in the junior Fed Cup in Northern California and also was a two-time competitor in the Peter Herb Cup. The Raiders' assistant coach was also a two-time Pacific Cup Qualifier at Ages 12 and 16, as well as competing in the West Coast 18 and Under Nationals at age 15.
Bachini is a native of Roseville, California and graduated from Syracuse in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Communications and Rhetorical Studies.
