David Bodden joined the Colgate Athletics staff in December 2019 as Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach.
He is responsible for the yearly strength and conditioning of Colgate’s men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s soccer, field hockey, men’s rowing and track and field. He also assists with the Colgate football program.
Bodden arrived after serving as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Iona from August 2018 to November 2019. At Iona, he was directly responsible for the programming of baseball, women’s lacrosse, women’s basketball, women’s Swimming and cross country. He also assisted with men’s basketball.
Prior to Iona, Bodden served as a strength and conditioning intern at Sacred Heart , Fairfield and with Reach Your Potential Training in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. He was responsible for assisting with implementation and execution of strength training programs for a variety of the varsity athletic programs.
Bodden graduated from Sacred Heart University in 2016 with a B.S. in Exercise Science and again in 2018 with an M.S. in Exercise Science and Nutrition.
A native of Toms River, New Jersey, Bodden is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and he is a Functional Range Conditioning (FRC) Movement Specialist and he is CPR/AED and First Aid certified from the American Red Cross.
