Krista Patronick

Krista Patronick was hired in August 2017 as the Director of Women's Hockey Operations.
 
"Krista is a true professional and we are very pleased she is joining our program," Fargo said. "Her experiences in hockey have prepared her well and I am looking forward to working with her.
 
"Krista brings a wealth of experience having worked as general manager in the CWHL with Boston Blades and I know she is eager to assist our student-athletes and staff in similar ways."
 
Patronick spent the last two seasons as the general manager of the Boston Blades, a professional hockey team in the Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL).
 
"I am so excited to work for this first-class women's hockey program" Patronick said. "The campus and facilities are top-notch, and the coaching staff is incredibly passionate.
 
"I intend use my experience in professional women's hockey to enhance this team's legacy and build a future that will bring us a national championship."
 
Patronick handled all the day-to-day operations for the organization, including hiring and retaining coaching staff and game day staff, recruiting players, overseeing the annual budget, fundraising, marketing and community relations and coordinating team all aspects of team scheduling.
 
In addition to those responsibilities, Patronick also was responsible for promoting women's professional hockey in the Boston area as well as carry out responsibilities to carry out CWHL policies and procedures.
 
Prior to joining the Blades, Patronick was the marketing director for The Hockey Academy where she oversaw all public relations and marketing throughout the organization. Patronick created and managed all web content for the New England Stars and Maine Wild as well as establishing and growing social media accounts for the organization and it's teams.
 
One of Patronick's finest achievements with The Hockey Academy came with the creation of the "The Winter Classic" outdoor pond hockey tournament for youth and adults at Patriot Place, which sold out within two weeks of its announcement and remains one of its most successful events. Patronick also created the company's first women's hockey league and worked annually as the operations manager for "Paint the Rink Pink" to raise $7,000 annually for Dana Farber.
 
Patronick also served in a similar capacity with the Northern State Junior Hockey League for the 2013-14 season where she was the organization's communications director. She oversaw all website and social media content for the league.
 
Patronick graduated from the University of Massachusetts Lowell with a Bachelor's of Arts in English in 2009 and completed her Master of Science in Sports Management from Southern New Hampshire University in 2013.
