After one season as a volunteer director of men's basketball operations, Greg Snyder has been promoted to assistant coach for the 2008-09 season.

He came to the Colgate staff from Hamilton College, where he was an assistant coach last season.  He helped guide the Continentals to the 2007 Liberty League regular season championship and a 19-7 record.  Prior to his stint at Hamilton, Snyder was an assistant coach at Jamesville-DeWitt High School and a volunteer assistant coach at SUNY Potsdam from 2003 to 2005.

He is a 2005 graduate of SUNY Potsdam, Snyder played three seasons where he served as team captain for the 2002-03 season.  The Bears won the SUNYAC regular season title, and Snyder led the league in three-point field goal percentage.
