    Running Backs
Tom Perkovich is in his first season with the Raider coaching staff working with the running backs.  He came to Colgate from Holy Cross College where he served as the tight ends coach for one season.  Prior to working with the Crusaders, he was a running backs coach for two seasons at Muhlenberg College.

While at Muhlenberg, the Mules won two Centennial Conference championships and qualified for the NCAA Division III playoffs.  Perkovich helped develop Muhlenberg’s All-America running back Matt Bernardo, who broke the school record for rushing yardage.

Last fall, Holy Cross tight end Luke Dugan earned first team all-Patriot League honors under Perkovich’s guidance.

He played his collegiate football at Canisius College, where he played for former Colgate assistant Ed Argast.  He played on the offensive line and earned second team Division I-AA mid-major All-America honors from the Football Gazette and was team MVP as a senior.  He also was a four-year letterwinner on the Canisius basketball team.

Perkovich, 25 years old, was born December 18, 1980 in Kenmore, N.Y.  He graduated from Canisius in 2003 with a degree in physical education.
