Beth Maddox is in her second season as an assistant coach with the Colgate field hockey program. She assists head coach Cathy Foto in all aspects of the program, including player development, practice preparation, video editing, and recruiting.
Most recently in the summer of 2008, she participated as a coach at the USFHA Futures Program.
Maddox was a four-year letterwinner for the Old Dominion University field hockey team. As a midfielder, she played in 77 games, starting 66 of them. Throughout her career she accumulated seven goals and two assists for
16 points. During Maddox¹s time at Old Dominion, the field hockey team made consecutive NCAA tournament appearances, and won the national championship in 2000. The Lady Monarchs were also four-time CAA champions while Maddox was on the squad.
Maddox¹s coaching experience includes stints with 16 individual and team Old Dominion field hockey camps. She also spent time coaching for the Virginia Beach Hockey League camps. Prior to coming to Colgate, Maddox coached the Salem High School junior varsity field hockey team.
A native of Virginia Beach,Va., Maddox graduated from Old Dominion University with a degree in communications in 2005.
