Junior Year (2013): Played in five games for the Raiders ... Posted one shot on the season in a game against New Hampshire ... Saw a season-high 28 minutes in a 2-1 double overtime loss to Hofstra.

Sophomore Year (2012): Saw action in 12 of the Raiders 19 games, making three starts...posted seven shots on the season, with two of them on frame...had a season-high two shots in the Raiders 3-2 double overtime win over Navy on Nov. 3...played in a season-best 88 minutes against St. John's on Aug. 26.

Freshman Year (2010): Played at Northeastern University where he started in the first game of the 2010 season before suffering a season-ending injury.

Before Colgate: Played four years of varsity soccer at his high school...captain of the team in 2009 winning team MVP, All-Area and All-FCIAC honors..helped lead his team to the 2007 State LL Championship and reach the FCIAC Finals in 2007 and 2009...also named a captain of the Under 14-15 Samba winning the Connecticut State Cup in 2006...in 2008 was offered a YAT contract with Luton Town FC, and invited to preseason for YAT trials at Coventry City FV, Fulham Football Club FC and Reading Football Club FC.

Personal: Full name is Rex Clive Messing… parents are Roy and Nicola Messing...father, Roy played soccer at Yale and professionally as a goalkeeper from 1978-1988, and uncle Shep was a goalkeeper for the 1972 Olympic Team and played professionally for 13 seasons...has one brother and one sister...born in Washington, D.C.
