Biography

Sophomore Year (2009): Eckerstrom started the Cross Country season with a bang at the Harry Lang Invitational, dropping 35 seconds from her freshman year split.

Freshman Year (2008): Eckerstrom proved to be an excellent addition to the Cross Country team her freshman year, completing five races for Colgate. She finished the season with a personal record in the 6k at the Patriot League Championship, clocking a time of 24:16.

Before Colgate: Eckerstrom was a three-year Varsity letter winner in Cross Country, Indoor Track, and Outdoor Track and a three-season Captain her Senior year. She earned all-Gazette first-team honors in Cross Country in 2005 and 2006 and an all-Met Honorable Mention in 2005. was an eleven-season Varsity letter winner, earning four letters in Cross Country and Outdoor Track, and three letters in Indoor Track. She was a three-season Captain in Cross Country, Indoor Track, and Outdoor Track. Eckerstrom helped lead the Cross Country to the Country, Regional, and Division Championships in 2006 and the Division Title in 2007. Eckerstrom clocked a career-best in Cross Country for the 5k in a time of 18:23 in 2006.

Eckerstrom holds the honor of JAG Award Recipient as the Nortwest High School's Top Athlete and was voted the Most Committed Player for Outdoor Track in 2006 and the Most Tenacious in 2007. Off the field, Eckerstrom was a member of the National Honors Society, National Math Honor Society, and an active member in Student Government.

Personal: Emma Eckerstrom was born December 26th, 1990, in Rockville, Maryland, the daughter of Kurt and Pam Eckerstrom.
