Junior Year (2010-11): Outdoor Track: Did not compete ... Indoor Track: ran a personal-best of time 2:32.95 in the 800m at the Class of 32 Invitational ... also posted a personal-record time of 1:26.04 in the 500m at the Harvard Challenge.

Sophomore Year (2009-10): Outdoor Track: Competed in sprint events for the Raiders. At the Hamilton College Mid-Week she ran a season-best in the 200m with a time of 28.49 and in the 400m ran a season-best 1:04.94 at the Moravian Greyhound Invitational. At the Syracuse Invitational Ellis ran a season-best of 2:44.64 in the 800m. Indoor Track: Competed in one event for the Raiders. She ran a season-best of 2:43.64 in the 800m at the Syracuse Invitational.

Freshman Year (2008-09): Outdoor Track: Competed in one event. Ellis ran a season-best time of 1:06.96 in the 400-meter dash at the Sam Howell Invitational. Indoor Track: Did not compete.

Before Colgate: Earned four varsity letters in both cross country and track at Pleasant Valley High School. She helped lead the Vikings to the Eastern Athletic League title as a freshman and again as a junior. Was a key member of the track team that captured league championships three out of her four seasons. Earned all-Eastern Athletic League cross country honors three times (2004-06). Ellis was also is a three-time all-league honoree in track (2005-07) and was selected as the Coach's Award recipient for cross country in 2006 and 2007. Ellis garnered the Coach's Award for track and field as a freshman. She ran a career-best 5k cross country time of 20:21. Ellis competed in primarily the 200 and 400 in track and served as team captain as a senior. She was also was a member of the swimming and basketball teams that captured league championships. Ellis was a member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Sarah Brianna Ellis was born in Chico, California. She is the daughter of David and Brenda Ellis and has one brother. Cousin Ramsey Jay Jr. was a member of the track and field team at Fresno State and recently was honored as one of Ebony Magazine’s “30 Young Leaders Under 30.” Her major is Environmental Studies.
