Raiders Drop Season Opener

Rowe nets first career collegiate goal

MALIBU, Calif. - Jocelyn Rowe scored the Raiders' lone goal in the 85th minute as Colgate fell 3-1 in its season opener against Pepperdine at Tari Frahm Rokus Field on Thursday evening.

Statistical Standouts
  • Ella Poppinga logged five saves on eight shots. Poppinga was named the Preseason Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year.
  • Sophomore Sophia Ro anchored the backline as the only field-player to finish with 90 minutes for Colgate.
  • Jade Vieira picked up the assist on Jocelyn Rowe's goal. Vieira recorded two assists in the entire 2025 season.
Notes
  • Rowe's lone goal was the first of her career after missing nearly all of last season through injury.
  • Six different first-years saw action in the opening contest of the season. Two Raiders, Constantina Papadakis and Fiorella Perone, each earned their first collegiate start.
  • Lydia Thornton was the only other Colgate player to record a shot on goal with hers coming in the 50th minute.
