BINGHAMTON, N.Y. –
Analisa Raffaelli hit her fourth home run of the season, but Colgate fell to Binghamton, 8-1, Sunday at Greenlight Networks Grand Slam Park.
Raffaelli's solo shot in the top of the third gave the Raiders a 1-0 lead and extended Colgate's home run streak to four consecutive games. She was one of four Raiders with two hits, joined by
Marina Taveras,
Lily Haluska, and
Kayla Martin.
Binghamton responded with three runs in the fourth and added five more in the fifth. Darien McDonough led the Bearcats with three hits and two RBIs, including a two-run double that capped the fifth-inning scoring.
Haluska and
Tealla Rivera each doubled as Colgate finished with three extra-base hits.
Kelcie McGraw took the loss in the circle, allowing four earned runs on 11 hits with three strikeouts over 4 2/3 innings.
Alexa Acker added 1 1/3 innings of scoreless relief.
