Luke Vogeler and first-year wide receiver
Matt Fogler were named Patriot League Special Teams Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively, after its 23-20 overtime win over Merrimack last Saturday.
Vogeler drilled the game-winning 34-yard field goal in overtime to seal Colgate's 23-20 come-from-behind victory over its non-conference foe. He was 3-for-3 on field goal attempts with makes from 43 and 36 in addition to the walk-off winner and a perfect 2-for-2 on PATs. His season-high 43-yarder opened the scoring in the first quarter.
Fogler's first career touchdown reception headlined his two-catch, 20-yard day at wide receiver. The first-year caught a short pass on the outside and made a few men miss before rumbling into the end zone for a memorable 16-yard score that was Colgate's first touchdown of the game.
Sophomore linebacker Christian Magliacano (10 tackles, 2.5 TFLs, 1 INT) and junior wide receiver Reed Swanson (5 receptions for 134 yards) received honorable mentions for their performances last week. With the latest awards, Vogeler and Fogler give Colgate at least one weekly honoree in each category this season.

Colgate (4-5, 2-2 Patriot) looks to get back to .500 and win three straight games for the first time this season. The Raiders will go up against league-unbeaten Lafayette (6-3, 4-0 Patriot) in Easton on Saturday. Kickoff from Fisher Stadium is 12:30 p.m.
