For the first time since 2019, the Raiders will not host the conference playoffs

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The No. 2 Colgate Raiders and No. 3 Army Black Knights are scheduled to compete in the Patriot League Semifinal on Friday at 3 p.m., with the game hosted by American in Bender Arena.

Colgate boasts a 35–18 tournament record, the second-most wins by any institution. The Raiders' post season record against the Black Knights is 10–4 success rate.

This past season, the two teams faced each other twice. In the first showing, Colgate swept Army 25–15, 25–17, and 25–20. Milan Bayless and Tiana Owens both recorded double-digit kills, combining for 32. In the most recent meeting, the Black Knights reverse-swept the Raiders 3–2. Colgate jumped out to a quick 2–0 advantage thanks to Bayless's kills and Lal Akin's blocks, but Army rallied to take the next three sets.

Colgate garnered three First Team All-Patriot League selections. Bayless was awarded a spot for the second time in her career. Owens, a previous second team member, earned a spot on the team, and Maddie Rudolph collected her first honor of her career.

Army earned two First Team All-Patriot League selections and one Second Team member. Chloe Murakami and Mackenzie Lynch were selected as First Team honorees for their offensive performances. Juliette Myrick earned a place on the Second Team.

The winner of the semifinal will move on to the championship match on Sunday versus the winner of the 6:30 p.m. semifinal match between the No. 1 American Eagles and the No. 5 Navy Midshipmen.
