Tunney Named Offensive Player of the Week

Raiders will play for regular season championship

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Josie Tunney secured her second straight Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.

This is the second straight week Tunney has earned Offensive Player of the Week honors and the first time a Colgate student-athlete has won back-to-back Offensive Player of the Week since Mara Cosentino did it Oct. 15 and 22, 2022. The sophomore scored a penalty kick with 13 minutes to go against Bucknell on Saturday.

After the Bison stormed back to make it 3-2, Tunney spun her defender and won the penalty kick that she ultimately finished off calmly. The California native has now scored four goals in the last three games and sits tied-sixth in the conference with six goals.

The Raiders head to BU on Wednesday with a chance to win their first Patriot League Regular Season Championship since 2014. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
