Tunney and Bezanson Garner Weekly Honors

Duo helped clinch postseason berth for the Raiders

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Sophomore Josie Tunney and senior Ari Bezanson each picked up Patriot League weekly honors, the conference announced on Monday.

Tunney scored three goals last week including both goals in a 2-1 win over Lehigh to earn Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week. The sophomore has scored five goals this season which ranks tied-first on the Raiders, equal with Bezanson.

Bezanson scored one goal and added an assist in Colgate's 3-0 win over Loyola on Saturday. This is Bezanson's second Patriot League Midfielder of the Week honor of the season. The victory earned the Raiders a spot in the postseason tournament with two games remaining in the regular season.

Colgate (8-4-4, 5-1-1 Patriot) will host Bucknell on Saturday, the last regular season home match of the season. Prior to kickoff, the Raiders will have a senior day ceremony for Bezanson and the six other student-athletes in their final season.
