BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lydia Thornton was announced as Patriot League Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Monday. This is her second time receiving Rookie of the Week honors this season.

Thornton scored the game-winning goal in the 88th minute to help propel the Raiders to a 2-1 win over American on Saturday. The first year assisted the opening goal for Colgate and netted her third goal of the season with just two minutes left in the match.

The midfielder now sits third on the team with seven points and sixth in the conference in game-winning goals with two this season.

The Raiders (6-4-4, 3-1-1 PL) head to Lehigh Wednesday for a midweek conference matchup. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
