Cox Named to All-Preseason Team

The Raiders are seated third in the conference preseason poll

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The Colgate Raiders Men's Basketball team has been seated third in the Patriot League's preseason poll for the 2025-26 season. This ranking was determined by a vote conducted among the league's head coaches and sports information directors, reflecting the team's standing as the season approaches.

Navy claimed the first place spot, backed by seven first place votes for 79 points. Second in line is Boston U earning two votes for a total 73 points. As Colgate rounds out the top three with one vote and 64 points in the preseason poll.

American, reigning Patriot League Champions, are seated fourth in the poll after graduating six upperclassmen, two of which were first and third team conference selections.

Colgate capped off the 2024-25 season with a 14–19 overall record and 10–8 conference showing. The Raiders fell in the semifinals 72–62 to American who won the conference tournament.

In addition to the team's ranking, Jalen Cox, a junior guard for the Raiders, has been named to the Preseason Men's Basketball All-Patriot League Team. In Cox's sophomore season he averaged 11.9 points per game, the second most on the team and scored double digit numbers in 22 games. Per his outstanding 2024-25 performance, Cox was named to the All-Patriot League Third Team and Patriot League Defensive Team.

Returning starters senior Brady Cummins and sophomore Parker Jones saw action in just about every game as they each made 96 field goals. When crashing the boards, Jones collected 146 total rebounds in 2024-25, averaging 4.6 per game.

The Colgate Raiders will embark on their season with a non-conference game on the road against Michigan State on November 3, marking the first step in their journey for the 2025-26 campaign.
