HAMILTON — Colgate Head Women's Hockey Coach
Stefan Decosse has added seven first-years and two transfers to the 2024-25 Raider roster. The newcomers hail from seven different states and provinces with four Canadians and three Americans.

Transfer Alexis Petford will be a key contributor for the incoming class after leading Stonehill College in goals, assists and points for the past two seasons. Petford also led the New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) in goals and points last year, earning All-NEWHA first team selections in 2022-23 and 2023-24. After leading Stonehill to the program's first-ever NCAA tournament, and scoring a goal in the Class of 1965 Arena against Cornell in a regional matchup, Petford picked up an All-USHO third team selection in 2023-24.
Casey Borgiel heads to Hamilton from Holy Cross where she was named to the Hockey East All-Rookie team in 2023. Prior to collegiate hockey, Borgiel was a back-to-back national champion with Detroit Little Caesars in 2020-21 and 2021-22.
A fellow native of the Great Lakes State, Addison Spitz also played for Detroit Little Caesars from 2018-2024, winning three state championships. In her senior year she tallied 67 goals, 74 assists, and 141 points in 63 games played as an assistant captain.
Alexia Aubin joins Colgate after spending the past three years at Stanstead College. The prolific scorer added 50 points in 37 games in 2021-22, and 38 points in 40 games during the 2022-23 season as an assistant captain. She was also a member of Canada's U18 World Championship winning teams in 2022 and 2023, scoring the first goal in the gold medal game in 2022 and pouring in two tallies in the 2023 championship matchup. Additionally, Aubin donned the maple leaf in last year's Collegiate Select Series.
The final incoming skater is Georgia Sambrano, a four-year letterwinner at St. Martin Catholic Secondary School in Ontario. She racked up 35 goals and 30 assists in 40 games played with the Mustangs, adding 35 points in 25 games as a captain her senior year while leading St. Martin to a provincial silver medal. She also suited up for the Durham West Junior Lightning as an alternate captain, winning an Ontario Women's Hockey Association (OWHA) U22 Provincial championship.
In net, the Raiders will add a Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) first team British Columbian Division All-Star in Farah Walker. Walker logged a 0.76 GAA in 11 games played to go along with a .953 save percentage in her post-grad year at RHA Kelowna. She also won a U18 National Championship with Okanagan Hockey Academy in 2022-23, and was teammates with Aubin on Canada's 2022 U18 World Champion squad.
Rounding out the class of 2028 is Lianna Seeley, who posted nine shutouts in 21 games with a .877 save percentage en route to a Junior Women's Hockey League (JWHL) championship in 2023. Also a 2022-23 captain of the Greenwich Academy Gators, Seeley picked up an All-New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) honorable mention nod after logging a .920 save percentage in 21 games played.
