HAMILTON – The Patriot League tournament is coming to Hamilton and quarterfinal round tickets are going on sale Thursday, Mar. 7, at 1 p.m. for the Colgate women's basketball postseason game on Monday, March 11 at 6 p.m.
Quarterfinal tickets are priced at $10 for adults and $5 for senior citizens and children. Faculty and staff can purchase up to four tickets for $5. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and can be purchased by visiting colgate.universitytickets.com. Fans can call 315-228-4062 or visit the Reid Athletic Center Ticket Office on Tuesdays from 1-4 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. The ticket office will respond to all inbound phone calls within one business day.
The first 500 Colgate students to reserve their tickets online will receive free complimentary admission thanks to the support and generosity of Brion '76 and Sabrina Applegate. The first 200 fans in attendance will receive a voucher to the concession stand for Monday's game. Fans are encouraged to wear white in an effort to white out Cotterell Court.
TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
The Patriot League tournament field went down to the final minute of the regular season. Holy Cross claimed the top spot and won the regular season title while Colgate finished second after a 77-40 victory over Boston University. The second place finish is the highest for the Raiders since the 2003/2004 season. Boston University sits at No. 3 and Loyola Maryland takes the No. 4 spot. The top four seeds will all host games in the quarterfinal round on Monday, March 11. Lehigh rounds out the top five, followed by Army West Point (No. 6), Navy (No. 7), Bucknell (No. 8), American (No. 9), and Lafayette (No. 10).
The Raiders will learn their opponent Saturday, March 9, taking on the winner of the Lafayette/Navy game.
Should the Raiders advance, the semifinals are set for Thursday, March 14, and the championship Sunday, March 17. Tickets information for those contests will be available at a later date.
