HAMILTON – Robbie Herzig tied for first and Colgate edged out Bucknell and St. Bonaventure for the Upstate Battle title Sunday afternoon at Seven Oaks Golf Club. 

Colgate heads to the Patriot League championship playing some of its best golf of the season, posting top three finishes in three of the last four tournaments.

Herzig carded an even-par 72 to finish with a two-day score of 145 (+1), tied with Bucknell's Josh Holtschlag for the individual title. 

With two teams in the lineup, the Raiders placed seven players in the top 10. Mark Gertsen tied for fourth with a 148 (+4), just ahead of Saturday's leader Wyatt Petersen in sixth at 149 (+5). 

Justin Fedele, Kevin Hollomon, and Akhil Giri were all tied for seventh at 150 (+6), while Dugan McCabe rounded out Colgate's top finishers in a tie for 10th at 151 (+7). Fedele had Colgate's lowest score of the day, firing a one-under-par 71 to climb 11 spots. 

Colgate captured a first-place finish for the first time this season with a 297-292=589 (+13) two-round composite. The Raiders' 292 (+4) final-round score paced the field en route to an eight-stroke win over second-place St. Bonaventure.
