LEWISBURG, Pa. – Colgate track and field completed their three-day Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic with new personal records and school records.
Carollin Mellin started the meet off hot as she posted a first-place finish in heat two of the women's 1500m, running a time of 4:32.80. Mellin's time is a new personal record.
Emma Pizer's continued Colgate's strong performance in the long-distance races with a new personal record of 17:03.31 in the women's 5000m. Pizer's time scored her a first-place finish from heat two and a 14th overall finish.
Dominique Groguhe threw for a fifth-place finish in the women's discus throw with a heave of 46.43. Groguhe placed higher than multiple league opponents. She also found herself just outside the top 10 in the women's hammer throw with a toss of 47.55.
Gavin Fowler found himself with a seventh-place finish in the men's 3000m with a time of 8:42.9. Fowler worked his way throughout the pack, making up 17 places by the end of the race.
Owen McMorrow scored a freshman record on day two with a time of 14:56.37 in the men's 5000m.
Owen Holland joined McMorrow as he netted a personal record of 14:53.36, finishing seven spots ahead of his teammate.
Cole Blair showed out in the men's long jump with a podium finish of second place, landing a mark of 7.57. Blair's jump was better than 34 other student-athletes.
Henry Lewinsohn threw for a new personal best of 51.33 in the men's javelin throw. The sophomore was joined by fellow Raider
Ethan Rifkin who threw for a mark of 51.32.
