Richardson Selected for NABC Senior All-Star Game

Senior One of 21 Selections for National Showcase

HAMILTON – Colgate Men's Basketball senior Tucker Richardson has been selected to compete in the Reese's NABC Senior All-Star Game in Houston Friday, March 31, at 3:30 p.m. CT. The game will take place at NRG Stadium, the site of this year's Final Four, and be broadcast live on CBS Sports Network. 

Richardson is the first player in program history to be selected for this event. He is one of 20 seniors in the country chosen to participate in this year's all-star game. The teams will have practice throughout the day for the public to watch. 

As part of the Final Four events, Richardson was also selected for the inaugural State Farm College Team Skills & 3X3U Championships, featuring a dynamic roster of graduating college seniors competing in a variety of competitions including team shootouts, a skills relay, and 3x3 basketball. 


The 3X3U Championship event takes place Wednesday, March 30, and will air on ESPN2 on Sunday, April 2 at 9 p.m. CT. Both events Richardson is participating in this week will be nationally televised and free to attend.

Richardson, a Flemington, N.J. native, averaged 13.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 2.1 steals per game this season en route to garnering Patriot League Player and Defensive Player of the Year honors. He also was named the Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year, becoming the first player in league history to earn all four major awards in a career (Rookie of the Year, Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Scholar-Athlete of the Year). 

The most decorated player in Patriot League men's basketball history, Richardson ranks first all-time in games played (155), wins (110), three-point field goals (268), assists (626), and steals (221) to go along with fifth all-time in points (1,740) and rebounds (783). Richardson this season was the only active Division I player with at least 1,600 points, 700 rebounds, 500 assists and 200 steals.
