NEW YORK, N.Y. – Colgate track and field took part in three different meets between Friday and Saturday as they competed on the nation's biggest stage.
Head Coach
Chelsea France's squad competed among the nation's best in the 115th Millrose Games, the 2023 BU David Hemery Valentine Invitational, and the Fastrack Invitational. Throughout the three meets, multiple Raiders placed personal bests.
115th Millrose Games
Eight Raiders competed on the biggest stage, as they took part in two competitions in the Armory in New York City.
The women's team of
Carollin Mellin,
Clare Gillis,
Graeson Landsberg, and
Sara Tabibian took part in the college women's 4x400 final, as they finished with a time of 4:03.65.
The men's team of
Dylan Wehrly,
Luca Sturgeon,
Ethan Eisner, and
Ryan Krill sported a time of 3:22.66 in the college men's 4x400 final.
BU David Henry Valentine Invitational
Carollin Mellin and
Emma Pizer took the trip to Boston, Mass. as they competed amongst highly competitive schools across the entire country.
Mellin secured an indoor personal best of 2:16.1 in the women's 800 while Pizer finished with a time of 10:09 in the women's 3k, as she crushed her personal best by 16 seconds.
Ben Horner and
Owen Holland made the trip for the men's side.
Horner ran for a time of 1:54.00 in the men's 800, finishing 109 out of 328, and Holland ran for a personal best of 8:42.68 in the men's 3k.
Fastrack Invitational
Colgate traveled to Staten Island, N.Y. Friday afternoon, as they competed at Ocean Breeze Track and Field Facility. Throughout the event, multiple Raiders recorded personal bests.
Gavin Fowler finished with a new indoor personal best of 8:55 in the men's 3k as he edged out multiple Patriot League foes.
Freshman
Owen McMorrow crushed his personal best by 20 seconds in the men's 5k, as he crossed the finish line with a time of 15:26.
Sebastian Bohn,
David Stephens, and
Jehrard Aguilar finished with personal bests in the men's mile.
Tabibian finished with a new indoor personal best in the women's 400 with a time of 57.92. Teammate Landsberg finished with a time of 63.10 as she beat her personal best by 1.01 seconds.
Nick Johnson had a great day in the field, as he recorded a personal best of 14.31 in the men's weight throw.

"I'm extremely proud of the performances this weekend. Almost every person who stepped on the track had a personal best or season best. Watching this team continue to feed off each other's successes is exciting. This weekend sharpened us for the competition we're going to see at our conference in two weeks and we're headed in the right direction."
