GAME 1 | Portland State 8, Colgate 0
Colgate's first game of the season saw the Raiders facing Meghan Romero '19 in the opposite dugout. Romero, now an assistant coach at Portland State, graduated from Colgate in 2019 and served as an assistant coach with the Raiders for the past three seasons.
First-year pitching highlighted the Raiders' first game of the year, with Alexa Acker making her starting and collegiate debut on the mound against Portland State. The Vikings scored an early two-run homer which gave them the definitive lead. Portland State scored six more runs, with four coming from the fourth inning to cap off the 8-0 win.
Sophomore catcher Quinn Livesay highlighted the Raider offense in the opener, getting the only hit for Colgate in the opener. Livesay ended the game 1-for-2 at the plate.

Michigan took the game in five innings after scoring two more runs in the second, three in the third, and one final run in the fourth.
