HAMILTON - Akhil Giri, Robbie Herzig, and Wyatt Petersen all tied for 27th place as Colgate wrapped up the Alex Lagowitz Memorial on Sunday afternoon at Seven Oaks Golf Club. 

Giri, Herzig, and Petersen shot four-over-par with 220 composites. Colgate finished seventh as a team with a consistent 290-292-295=877 (+13) scorecard, one stroke ahead of Lehigh and two strokes behind Cornell. Seton Hall won the tournament (-23) and Yale finished second (-11). 

Colgate finished second among Patriot League teams in the field, leading Lehigh and Bucknell while only trailing Lafayette. 

Giri climbed 12 spots on Sunday with a one-under-par 71 final round. Herzig and Petersen both fired four-over-par 76s, while Michael Hanratty and Mark Gertsen scored even 72s on Sunday to tie for 42nd place. Jack Maguire and Dugan McCabe were tied for 48th at +9 overall.

The fourth and ninth holes were the most difficult in Round 3 with an average +0.54 score in relation to par. No. 7 had the lowest average score (-0.32) in relation to par in the final round. The 54-hole tournament featured a full field of 14 teams including four conference institutions.

"Top to bottom our entire group has positives to take from this weekend. Being in the fortunate position to have everyone play competitively at the start of our season is huge.
