Head Coach Kathy Taylor
"Today we played our last game of the 2022 campaign and let me begin by saying how proud I am of this young group and the seniors that led the team and our way back to winning this spring against the odds of a very tough start."
"It has been a season of challenges both on and off the field, but through the adversity we came together. We enjoyed some special moments this season, such as our senior captain Olivia Lynch earning the start in the cage against Lafayette on Senior Day and going on a four game win streak with the margin of victory being a single goal in each win. Cara O'Reilly set the season record for draw controls here at Colgate University and several players enjoyed milestone games this season."
"While it has been exciting for all of us to finish strong, those odds caught up to us today. As talented as our attack is, we struggled to find the goals needed to keep up with a powerful Lehigh team as they pulled away. Credit to Lehigh and their goalie that played lights out as our scoring efforts too often found their way into her stick on remarkable saves. Our defense that has grown up a great deal since our first game back in February, has become a cohesive unit that counts on several different players to hold down the talented attackers from other teams."
"We have grown a lot this year and while it is hard to say goodbye to our three seniors: Courtney Day, Kat Lioudis and Olivia Lynch, we are grateful for their contributions to the program and the legacy they leave. The program is better for having had them as a part of it. We look to the future with confidence and excitement, always believing the best is yet to come."
