BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The honors keep rolling in, as seniors Tyler Flick, Zack Pelland, and Jackson Price were named to the 2022 Football Academic All-Patriot League Team, the league announced on Wednesday morning. 
 
Flick, no stranger to postseason honors, was named All-League Second Team Defense earlier this week.
 
The linebacker, a Political Science major, proves the definition of on and off the field, holding a 3.44 cumulative GPA.
 
While excelling in the classroom, he led the Raiders with 93 tackles, a season-high for the senior. The Manheim, Pa., product tackled a game-high 15 opponents in the Raiders' first win of the 2022 season at Maine. Flick also tacked on 8.5 tackles for a loss of 25 yards. 
 
Pelland, a Neuroscience major who also minors in writing and philosophy, garners his second Patriot League academic honor after being named in 2019. The Gurnee, Ill., native acquired a stellar 3.97 cumulative GPA. In addition to his work in the classroom, Pelland is doing research with one of his professors on head impact and how it affects the body's gut microbiome. 
 
The defensive lineman played in five games for the Raiders this season, recording 10 tackles, one being a tackle for loss.
 
Price, no stranger to the academic team after earning the honor in 2019 like his teammate, is a Sociology and Educational Studies double major. Price accumulated a 3.73 GPA to go along with his performance on the field. 
 
The defensive back led Colgate in interceptions this season, picking off three quarterbacks, including one against Pac-12 powerhouse Stanford. Price tallied 30 tackles to end his senior year, including two tackles for a loss of three yards.
 
To be eligible for the Patriot League Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-Patriot League awards, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average as an undergraduate and graduate (if applicable) and be a starter or key player in his/her sport. Nominees must have completed at least one academic year at their institution.
