SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Raiders drop their first road game of the season, falling 72-48 to the Syracuse Orange.
Senior
Jenna Paul scored a career-high six three-point field goals, tying her game-high 18 points.
The game opened up with a 4-0 Syracuse run that was broken up by Paul's first three-pointer.
The Orange picked up where they left off with a 7-3 drive that had the score standing at 10-6, with the three Raider points coming from a free throw shot by

The Orange continued to push with another 5-0 run to lead 16-6 going into the first timeout of the game.
Both teams were held scoreless for about two minutes before being disrupted by back-to-back pairs of Orange free throws that extended their lead to 20-6. A defensive rebound by
Madison Schiller stopped Syracuse from adding any more points in the first quarter.
Syracuse kicked off the second quarter with a 4-0 run. The Raiders went on their first run of the game, a 5-2 run after Paul got her second three-pointer, and Taylor Gokembiewski shot one in the paint to have Colgate trailing 26-11.

A 7-0 Syracuse run carried the game to the halftime break. Golembiewski and Paul scored all 15 Colgate points in the second quarter.
The Orange came out of the break with a three-point field goal. Golembiewski nabbed a defensive rebound, but quickly after, Syracuse added another three, then a layup to extend their lead to 44-21.
Freshman
Christina Midgette got a steal for the Raiders that Golembiewski capitalized off to end the Orange's run.
Midgette's steal seemed to cause a spark in both teams, as a 7-5 run was the outcome. Syracuse led 51-28 with three minutes remaining in the third quarter.
A 3-1 Orange run led to the Raiders trailing 54-29 to end the third quarter. Golembiewski, Paul, and
Lara Cook accounted for the nine Colgate points scored in the third.
