LEWISBURG, Pa. – Five Raiders scored in double figures and Colgate pulled away in the second half to beat Bucknell 75-56 on Wednesday night inside Sojka Pavilion.

Bucknell (3-16, 0-7 Patriot) went scoreless for 6:13 before a 3-pointer from Ian Motta ended the drought. Richardson canned a 3-pointer to stretch the lead to 23-7, but that was Colgate's last bucket until Moffatt swished his second trey to make it 26-16 with 6:04 left.
The Bison closed the gap all the way down to 26-24 on a layup by Xander Rice with just under five minutes left in the half.
Jack Ferguson netted another 3-ball and Richardson scored his 1,000th career point on a step-back jumper to help Colgate hold a 33-29 lead at intermission.
Colgate stayed in front with back-and-forth buckets to start the second half. Bucknell scored five quick points after another Motta 3-pointer cut it to 51-50 at the 11-minute mark. That would be the final points for the Bison until 5:44 left and Colgate dominated down the stretch for its third straight victory.
The win snapped Colgate's five-game losing streak at Sojka Pavilion, marking its first win in Lewisburg since January 2016.
RICHARDSON REACHES MILESTONE
Richardson became the 38th member of Colgate's 1,000-point club with his step-back jumper late in the first half. The senior guard needed seven points to reach the milestone and finished the night with 14. Richardson is Colgate's second 1,000-point scorer this season, joining Ferguson, who reached the mark against Army.

Head Coach Matt Langel
"It is a big deal to win in a place we haven't won in a while. Our group got off to a great start. On the road the experience showed through. We played with toughness, we got great shots, and our defense was really locked in. We tried to break the game down into four-minute segments and one of those really got away from us. On the road that can happen. I credit our guys for fighting back and for not giving it all the way back – that has happened to us a couple times this season. We stuck with it, fought hard, and eventually broke through."
